About the Banking Associate Role
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. This role is accountable for performing a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The role includes building trust with customers, providing consultative support, advocating with proactive insights, and recommendations. The Banking Associate is required to utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, helping to acquire and deepen relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one year’s experience working with customers is preferred, which can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is an advantage but not required. Other crucial skills include strong organization abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer Service and Shareholder Responsibilities
As a Banking Associate, you will be responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times, and engage in lobby leadership. You should understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of your decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
Physical requirements for this role include standing, walking, lifting/carrying items under 25 lbs., and the occasional domestic travel. You will be required to perform sedentary work frequently and must be able to concentrate for long periods of time, apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations, and perform basic arithmetic operations.
