Key Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
As a Banking Associate, you will play a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. Your responsibilities will include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. By understanding customer financial needs, you will identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner. The ultimate goal is to attract and retain the customer, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Depth & Scope of the Role
The role requires you to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform. The role also necessitates managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings, and representing the first point of contact for customer inquiries.
Education & Experience Requirements
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred but not required. Prospective candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office, have excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A Notary License is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
The role entails domestic travel on occasion and requires you to be proficient in performing sedentary work, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. It also requires sitting, standing, and walking frequently. Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) and (over 25 lbs.) is occasional. The role also demands concentration for long periods of time, reading, writing and comprehending instructions, and adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
