Compensation and Work Hours
The work hours for this position are 30 hours a week. TD Bank is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. The pay rate for this role ranges from $23.75 to $31.00 USD. The actual base pay offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
Job Description and Scope
The Banking Associate will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions. The role also involves delivering end-to-end advice to customers, using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understanding customer financial needs, and servicing customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, among other tasks.
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred skills and abilities include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, among others.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will be responsible for consistently providing excellent customer service, managing wait times to meet with a banker, and understanding and supporting the bank’s customer service strategy. For shareholders, the associate will ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines, accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, and follow all required open/close procedures.
Physical Requirements and Employee/Team Accountabilities
The physical requirements of this role include performing multiple tasks, responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/carrying under 25 lbs or over 25 lbs. On the team level, the associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment, actively seek opportunities to improve the quality of work, and adhere to TD’s Shared Commitments.
