Overview of the Banking Associate Position in University City

TD Bank is looking for a Banking Associate to join their team in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are bilingual in Arabic, French, Spanish, Swahili, or Mandarin. A key aspect of this role involves delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This includes accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The pay range for this role is $22.00 – $27.75 USD per hour, and the candidate is expected to work 40 hours per week.

Role and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate is responsible for a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on all banking products and services, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers. The Banking Associate is also expected to accurately complete everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform while uncovering customer financial needs and educating on products, services and tools or referring to the appropriate expert.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED. A year’s experience working with customers is preferred, and this can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience. Other preferred skills and abilities include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work, demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines, sound judgment in decision making and problem-solving, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a notary license.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the job include performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, moving safely in confined spaces, lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), lifting/carrying (over 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, reaching forward, pushing, pulling, twisting, concentrating for long periods of time, reading, writing and comprehending instructions, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
