Key Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate’s role is integral in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
As a Banking Associate, your responsibilities will span multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. Furthermore, you will be expected to deliver end-to-end advice that customers expect, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role should possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Previous teller experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
Banking Associates are also responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. Furthermore, they are expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
