Role Description and Requirements
As a Banking Associate, you will be accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers reach their financial goals.
Some of the key responsibilities include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on all banking products and services, and being able to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online (digital) banking.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers, which can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience. It is also preferred that the candidate has teller experience and possesses strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will play a critical role in consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. This includes establishing and nurturing customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge, actively listening to customer needs while engaging in additional conversations to identify any additional needs and offer a solution or partner referral.
Physical Requirements
The nature of the role requires the candidate to be physically equipped to perform a variety of tasks such as standing, walking, lifting/carrying items under and over 25 lbs., and responding quickly to sounds. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time, read, write and comprehend instructions, and perform basic mathematical operations is also crucial for the role.
