Job Description
The role involves providing market research support and publishing comprehensive analysis and research on individual corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments. As an expert-level professional, the candidate will be required to possess in-depth knowledge in their domain, along with a working knowledge of related areas.
The role demands complex problem-solving skills and the ability to integrate a broader organizational and industry context into advice and solutions. The candidate will also be expected to interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and results of analysis to inform decision-making at senior levels.
Education & Experience
Essential qualifications for the role include an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of related experience. Additional qualifications, such as FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, and 87, or working towards a CFA designation, are preferred. Candidates holding a Masters or PhD will be given preference.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
From compiling, analyzing, and evaluating data to maintaining financial models and databases, the role is multifaceted. The candidate will also be required to stay updated on market data, economic information, and key industry developments. Interacting with clients, developing client presentations, and working closely with senior research leads are also integral aspects of the role.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices, and adhering to enterprise frameworks or methodologies relating to the business area. The candidate will also be expected to participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert, helping to identify risks and provide guidance for complex situations.
Physical Requirements
The role involves a range of physical requirements, such as performing sedentary work, operating standard office equipment, and occasionally lifting and carrying items under 25 lbs. Domestic travel is also occasionally required.
