The individual in this position is tasked with defining and implementing the bank product strategy for wealth management clients across various distribution channels. This process involves close partnership with Chase Consumer Bank and US Private Bank product and platform owners. The goal is to represent the voice of the client and advocate for the product features and delivery model that would best serve their high net worth needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Director, WM Banking Product Owner

The duties of the Executive Director, Wealth Management Banking Product Owner, are multi-faceted. They are expected to become a trusted, active, and highly visible member of the CCB and USPB product ecosystem. This is achieved by developing deep partnerships with the Firmwide Core Deposits Platform team and Deposit Area Product Groups, representing the wealth management client experience in shared forums.

The Executive Director should demonstrate a deep understanding of bank products, backed by intimate knowledge of the wealth management client and Advisor needs. This knowledge is essential in advocating and articulating both business and technical Product specifications. It includes building technologies and features into the firmwide platform.

Another crucial responsibility is setting and managing Advisor and client expectations. This often involves leading project planning, weekly meetings, and presentations. The Executive Director serves as a liaison with other product owners across lines of business and across product structures to ensure goals and requirements are communicated and understood by stakeholders.

Additionally, the Executive Director is responsible for collaborating with development teams to ensure the delivery of solutions from research through release. This includes overseeing testing and communications, strategizing and defining Product features, identifying potential issues, and suggesting potential solutions. They also manage a bank product team which supports day-to-day engagement with Deposit Area Product Groups.

Eligibility and Qualifications

For a candidate to be considered for the Executive Director, WM Banking Product Owner role, they must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 12 years of financial services product or project management experience. Superior project management, problem-solving and time management skills are also necessary. Additionally, advanced analytical skills, knowledge of the competitor landscape, and advanced Microsoft Office skills are required.

Ideally, the candidate should have experience with Agile Framework and tools such as Jira and Confluence. A background in banking is strongly preferred.
