Job Responsibilities and Expectations
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The depth and scope of the role include:
- Processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
- Building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
- Engaging with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain the customer.
Education and Experience
Prospective candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Teller experience is preferred, but not a requirement. Other necessary skills include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Notary License is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They should manage wait times effectively and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy. On the shareholder side, the Banking Associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

Physical requirements for the role include performing sedentary work, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. Occasional domestic travel may be required.
