What Does an Associate Banker in Startup Banking Do?
An Associate Banker in Startup Banking is a key player in our multinational team. You will work closely with product partners, Corporate Client Banking, Global Corporate Banking, and Core. Your role will involve promoting both internal and external client dialogue and maintaining a deep working knowledge of our solutions. These include, but are not limited to: Credit, Treasury Services, International Banking, Commercial Card, and Merchant Services.

The Startup Banking team, a part of J.P. Morgan’s Commercial Bank in its Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries group, is the focal point of ongoing relationship management with the world’s most innovative companies. We work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to deliver the entire firm to our clients.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years in a similar banking, venture, credit, or treasury role
- Outstanding professional reputation and integrity
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and retain new and profitable relationships in a highly competitive environment
- Ability to assess risks inherent in complex credit transactions and mitigate, structure and negotiate accordingly
- Extensive knowledge of products and services
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Superior knowledge of the market dynamics and its business environment preferred
- Excellent problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills
