As a banking associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This role is designed to help customers achieve their financial goals through accurate transaction processing and providing advice on banking services, products, and tools.
Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate at TD Bank performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. The tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. You will also be responsible for building trust with customers by providing educational content and tools, offering consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
Moreover, this role requires you to understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner. You will also be required to accurately complete everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform while uncovering customer financial needs and educating on products, services, and tools.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity is considered a plus. The candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Teller experience is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. A Notary License is also preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Team Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will be responsible for providing legendary customer service, managing wait times, and engaging in lobby leadership. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. In terms of team accountabilities, you will be expected to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate with team members, and actively seek opportunities to improve the delivery of work.
Physical Requirements
The role involves frequent sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, and operating standard office equipment. The job also requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting and carrying of items under 25 lbs. is also part of the job.
